JC Yankee Doodle Dandy (AMHA), Curry’s Yankee Doodle Dandy (AMHR). He got his name because he was foaled on the 4th of July. Sired by my Appaloosa stallion Harris Polka Dot who was exported to Australia, Dandy was a snowflake Appaloosa when he got older.
A 28” and under mare owned by Miniature Roses Miniatures, she had Bond Peppy Power bloodlines. Her sister from the same mare won National Championships at both AMHA and AMHR Nationals.

Curry’s Estrellita, ASPC/AMHR HOF. She was purchased at this show by the Harrison family of Mini h Farm. She was their first Shetland and took them in an entirely different direction in their breeding program.

Just Sooty winning Champion Driving Horse at the California State Fair. His first show as a driving horse. This was our first miniature horse cart and was made by OakLnd or Oregon Carriages.

Baywatch Babe, owned by Fog Ranch Shetlands, won many titles at halter and driving, and is now a successful broodmare.
Northwinds Starfire Cody. She was a favorite of all of the mares I showed for Step-N-Stone Shetlands. She was known as “Jim’s mare.”
Curry’s Cover Girl, my first ASPC/AMHR foal, won the National Futurity three years in a row. She was a winner from her first show, where she was named Grand Champion Mare as a weanling at the Area VII Championship Show.

One of the most fun driving horses I ever drove. Zebulon’s owners asked me to drive him two different years and we won National Champion one year and Reserve National Champion the other year.

Roulette was a Scotch Label son and my favorite of all of the stallions I showed for Step-N-Stone American Shetlands. He was a Congress champion and was never defeated at halter. He was also a driving horse and a HOF winner.

Harris Polka Dot. Normally he was white with few spots, but that year I had added vegetable oil to his feed and he had lots of color. He was exported to Australia where he was a winning show horse and sire. He lived to be 29 and was much loved by his owner, Kay Burke of Wildflower Lodge Stud.

My last time showing a Shetland, at the Santa Cruz County Fair in 2014. This is JGJ’s Jay Mee, owned by Pat and Linda Anastasio. She is by Jan’s General Jim that I owned with Jan Perkins. I hadn’t shown in about ten years. This was a small fair show with two judges. We entered ten classes and won them all under both judges. We did have competition.
